Bodum CHAMBORD French Press Coffee Maker 1928-16 - The French-Press coffeemaker is a remarkably simple, almost earthy way of brewing rich, flavorful coffee or tea. Not as easy to use as an electric drip coffee maker, the French-Press brews coffee in about 5 minutes that is extremely flavorful and complex using no electricity. It's the type of coffee maker that our ancestors might have used centuries ago and, as such, enables coffee to be made virtually anywhere - even while camping outdoors. What you'll need is some pot with which you can make boiling water. The process is based on infusion - infusing the natural properties coarse-ground dark-roast coffee (or tea leaves) with boiling water, then separating the two to create an amazing, delicious, potent beverage.

It is glass and they don't wrap it appropriately. Total waste of money. Buy one local and don't order it to be shipped. This item arrived broken. Piece of trash.
Maybe its just me though. A few days after my purchase, the carafe broke. I believe it is too delicate.
I'm looking for something more durable. The glass is too fragile -- I would not recommend this product.
This French press coffee maker is very easy to use and clean.When finished, I dump the grinds, rinse out & drop in the dishwasher.
This does bug me.Additionally, you really do have to stir quite a bit to transfer all of the taste from the grounds into the water. This product does what it says it will. There is another product on amazon that is a bit more advanced than a basic french press that has gotten really good reviews and I will likely buy that soon. Stirring only a couple times is a recipe for coffee flavored water, but this might be a problem with all french presses. However, its not ideal for making small cups of coffee, as the filter doesnt reach all the way to the bottom. This means that if you only put a small amount of coffee grounds, the filter will not be able to separate the coffee grounds from the water entirely.
